Novice Web Designers Dive Head First

Our UCI Digital Art class has grouped together to create a website for ourselves. I joined the Web Design group since I am an enthusiast of web design. None of us design web sites as a profession, so we are diving head first into this project. Desperately seeking a structure, I advised my group to become familiar with a web design process. Now I’m not expecting any groundbreaking web design from us like I’ve seen from Tim Van Damme. I’m expecting a simple education site, like the Beall Center’s. However, I’ll push us to accept modern web design practices. For example, @font-face (the Beall’s headlines uses images, nooooo!) and probably responsive web design, but I think I’m being over ambitious there.
